Training

Official Club Training:
Tuesday Evening - Intervals Session:  6pm warm up start for a 6.30pm sharp session start in Market Green, Midleton (Outside the Army Surplus Store). 

Saturday Morning - Hills Session: 10am sharp start at Walchtown Woods (between Lisgoold and Dungorney, best to pre-arrange to follow someone out from Midleton).

Other days of the week: Multiple other days training in various locations. Details usually arranged at the official training days.

Intervals

Generally we do two interval sessions in the week. Tuesday training normally involves 5 to 8 thousand meter repetitions on grass. Thursday intervals can vary from 200m to 2kms depending on what the training focus is at that time. 

Hills

Normally hill training is done on Saturday morning from September to April. This involves repetitions of 200m to 400m hills with jog back down recoveries.

Long Runs

Club members meet for long runs on Sunday mornings. The time and place varies each week depending on convenience. Normally 75 mins to 2 hours is covered.
