Cork City Marathon, Half and Relay - June 3rd

All roads lead to Cork City center this weekend (except the ones that were closed!). We had members competing in the full marathon, the half marathon and the relay.

Fiona had top individual result bettering her position from last year to finish an amazing 2nd, behind Irish International athlete Claire McCarthy, in a new PB of 83:27. Kevin O'Leary also PB'd and finished 5th again this year in a swift 73.23, even more impressive as he only began his warm up 19 minutes before the start.

James Mc and Paul Cleary both tackled the full marathon. James in his first marathon (never even trying a half before) completed in a commendable 2:52. No doubt a great learning experience and plenty more to come. Paul our experience campaigner ran a great 3.14 and probably in the middle of a jam packed weekend of multiple difference activities.

Our ladies relay team of Annalise, Michelle, Eadaoin and Lorna were 5th female team in an excellent 3.25  even though there were some funny changeovers noted!
